Have you ever dreamed of being an astronaut? NASA is now accepting applications for future astronauts — the first time in more than four years that they have done so. The application window opened on Monday, March 2, and will remain open until 11:59 p.m. EDT Tuesday, March 31.
With the Moon to Mars program in its initial stages, there’s never been a more exciting time to be an astronaut. The agency is preparing to send the first woman and next man to the Moon with the Artemis program. Exploring the Moon during this decade will help prepare humanity for its next giant leap – sending astronauts to Mars.
Requirements include US citizenship, a master’s degree plus 2 years professional experience in a STEM (science/technology/engineering/math) field, and the ability to pass the NASA astronaut physical.
